A Visit To Orchard

July 22, Sunday

It was about 8:15am when I arrived at McDonald's in Robinson's Galleria where I'll be meeting my classmates for our visit to Teresa Orchard as required in one of our subjects in school. I thought I'm already late because we are supposed to meet at 8am. But mind you, I was the first to arrive. I should really get the most punctual award ever!

While waiting, I had McMuffin meal with a scrambled egg, toasted bread with butter and strawberry jam, and my favorite hot chocolate for breakfast (I like McDo's hot chocolate than other fastfood chain).

After satisfying my craving tastebuds for Mcdo's breakfast meal for certain days, I found myself still waiting in vain. I asked for a newspaper from the chain, but sadly, their newspaper has not also arrived yet (yea, the newspaper boy is also late!). I hope I have a book with me to read. Text messaging and watching people passes by somehow entertained me and helped me prolonged my patience.

An hour has passed and stil see no signs of my classmates shadows. Finally, 2 of them arrived, then the other one after few minutes. We took an FX going to Antipolo. And after 30 minutes, we're already in Tikling where we have to meet our other classmates. Then headed to the site.Image012_1

We met the owner of the orchard who have been very nice to us. A beautiful and kind plant enthusiast. She discussed to us about fruit propagating and gave us a free taste of rambutan and a refreshing dalandan juice. But no, it's not freshly squizzed as one of our classmates got deceived because of the owner's humor. With the caretaker's Teresa_orchardassistance, we toured around the one hectare plantation of diffent fruits where the seeds came from different countries in Asia, America and Europe.

The trip going home was long and tiring yet fulfilling and can be called 'a day' for us.
